Is this confidential?

Services are confidential. However, if you, or someone else, is unsafe, there are limits to this confidentiality. In Pennsylvania, if you are 14 or older, you can seek out services without your parent(s)’ involvement.

Don’t let this stop you from calling. Just call and ask some questions to clarify if you are concerned for your privacy.

Can I call about a friend or someone else?

Absolutely. We can help you figure out what you can do to help. And, we may be able to make a plan with you to try to get him or her involved with SAFELine, too.

What are the hours?

24/7/365 to call or see someone face-to-face.

Does this cost anything?

Nope. It’s free to anyone in Erie County, PA.

Who are you?

The people that answer the phones at SAFELine are all mental health professionals from Safe Harbor Behavioral Health. These individals hold at least a Bachelor Degree and are the same professionals that answer the Crisis Hotline of Erie County. Callers get to speak with a person who has a lot of crisis skills and knowledge, so that they can help find a solution with you.
