The SAFELine Art and Video Contests are now closed for entries.   Winners will be announced by March 31, 2012.   
 
SAFELine MIDDLE SCHOOL ART/MASCOT CONTEST
Students are invited to participate in the first-ever SAFELine Middle School Art/Mascot Contest! We are looking for original student artwork (any print medium) which portrays a creative character that could potentially be a mascot for the SAFELine program.  
 
Entries must be postmarked on or before February 27, 2012!

Who Can Participate?
All students in grades six-through-eight who attend any of the schools listed in the SAFELine Middle School Art/Mascot Contest entry packet are encouraged to create imaginative artwork and showcase it within their school. However, a maximum of three pieces of artwork per school may be entered into the contest. The method of choosing the best artwork to enter in the competition is completely up to each school, but all Entrants must be sponsored by a teacher.

SAFELine HIGH SCHOOL VIDEO CONTEST
The first-ever SAFELine High School Video Contest is open to original videos that are no more than five minutes in length, and demonstrate positive, creative solutions to bullying, “drama” or other difficult emotional or social issues that many teenagers go through. All Entrant videos will be posted on SAFELine’s YouTube Channel to promote awareness of the cause. Winners will receive great prizes and be recognized at a community event (TBA). Better hurry, though – entries must be postmarked by February 27th!

Who Can Participate?
All students in grades nine-through-12 who attend a school listed in the SAFELine High School Video Contest entry packet are eligible to enter. Of particular interest are students taking classes in psychology, sociology, life skills, health and wellness, performing arts, theatre production, digital communications, art, A/V technology, etc. Entrants may work individually or in teams of up to four people. All Entrants must be sponsored by a teacher, regardless of working individually or in a group.
 
Entries that are postmarked by February 27, 2012, will compete for top prizes, including an Ipod touch.  Teacher Sponsors of the Grand Prize, Second Place and Third Place winners will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card to use toward their classroom budget.
